DIMENSIONS 2015 – Meet the Artists – Adrian Garcia

The 14th Annual Sculptural Exhibit DIMENSIONS 2015 is only two days away. Learn more about the exhibit and the artists today on Roger’s Daytime Television airing at 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 11pm.

Included in the line-up of artists is figurative, animal and conceptual clay artist, Adrian Garcia.

How long have you been creating?  I started sculpting after visiting several galleries in Sedona in 2007 and talking with local sculptors. This led to trying it out, to “see if I could do it”. I have a background in animation, illustration and graphic design. I enjoy working with my hands “making things” and experimenting with different approaches from armature construction to mold making.

What inspires you to do what you do?  It’s an on-going learning process. Always.

Artist Statement                                                                                                                           I want to tell a story, and engage the viewer in the moment; Mostly I like to sculpt subjects I like and hope people do too. I use polymer, water-based, oil-based and paper clay. My influences vary from classic, fine art, concept/movie/makeup art, Wildlife and other sculptors.
