November 2015: A sculpture titled “Tribute to Dessalines” at Maison du Citoyen in Gatineau

Haiti

Last November, the City of Gatineau proceeded to the unveiling of a new art work representing Haiti at the Hall of Nations . The work of art is a sculpture titled Tribute to Dessalines which was offered to the City of Gatineau by the Embassy of Haiti in Canada and the Haitian community. It is a bronze bust made by artists Dominique Dennery and Rosemary Breault Landry.  This work of art will be on permanent display in the lobby of Nations of the Maison du citoyen.

 

November-December  2015: Rocky Bivens at Cube Gallery’s Eleventh annual Great BIG smalls show

CubeNCNS members, Rocky Bivens, has been present with 2 of his sculptures at the  Cube Gallery’s Eleventh annual Great BIG smalls show  which  featured over 50 artists.

 

 

 

 

 

November-December 2015: “ACTINIARIA” – SUSAN ROSTON at STUDIO SIXTY SIX

Susan RostonSUSAN ROSTON creates what she sees as being soft, reflective work without much in the way of vibrancy but having organic textural aspects.

Actiniaria reflects how movement, water and fragility within a solid form can translate into life at its most basic level.
